Technology Autobiography

I am from Richmond, Virginia and a junior at the college. I am a freshmen RA and involved in UCAB. This is my first semester in the elementary education program.

Technology and I get along and I am not afraid of it, but I don't know a lot about anything besides computers, digital cameras, and my cell phone. I typically can't figure out what's wrong with something so I get help. I don't have facebook or myspace. I just got my first IPOD and I managed to figure that out on my own.

My county that I went to school in, Henrico County Public Schools, was one of the first to start a textbook initiative which started by providing laptops to every high school student. We had to pay a $50 deposit and it was ours for the year. By the time I graduated all of the middle school students had them also. It was a great tool to use in the classroom if the teachers new what they were doing, but many of them were afraid to use them so the students would tend to use them more as a distraction.

I have no idea what is going on with the blogging so I don't even know if this is going to work, but once I hit save I guess I will see what happens!
